Summary:

Storytelling is an essential skill at all levels of government. This course teaches the art and science of storytelling with interactive exercises and brief lectures and examples. The course will be useful in gaining support for projects, writing reports and proposals, engaging stakeholders, explaining ideas and initiatives and preparing government documents. You will learn specific tips and strategies on how to get your message across with clarity, concision and conviction as well as an appreciation of how stories can influence and persuade at the government workplace.

Instructor:

Arthur teaches storytelling at the University of Ottawa's Professional Development Institute.  He is well known as a very dynamic and engaging facilitator and students call his teaching style "warm and encouraging" and "very inspiring".  Arthur has been recognized and awarded for his teaching excellence by various university departments. He holds an MFA and an HBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
